This privacy policy will help you understand what information we collect and use at Pinmenote, and the choices you have associated with that information. When we refer to "Pinmenote", “we” “our” or “us” in this policy, we are referring to the Pinmenote website at https://pinmenote.com (the “Site”) and Pinmenote browser extension (the “Extension”) and the developers of these software (the “Developers”).

Information we collect and how we use it

We collect information from you as part of certain features provided by the Extension and Site, such as when you create an account, authenticate, pay for premium account or use server side features. Stripe, our payment provider, may collect additional information from you to process payment. We may use the contact information you input, such as name and email, to send you support information, product and service announcements, and other business communications, and to service our Site.

The Extension does not and will never use any third-party tracking software. The Site does not, but may use third-party tracking software in the future to collect website traffic data that help us improve our service.

When using the Extension if you would like to use server side features you need to register using this site. After you login to extension first time, private / public keys are generated. Private key is stored in the extension local storage area and might be sent encrypted when trying to login and import data from other device where you installed extension and are logged in. We will never ask you for your private key except if inside our official applications during certain functionalities. Public key will be stored on server along with your registration data to provide features that require external server. You must take necessary safeguard to ensure your generated keys are secure.

IP Addresses

Tools employed on our Site may gather your IP address when you access the Site. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer, maintain and improve the Site, and gather broad geolocation information for aggregate use. Your IP address may indicate the city from which you are accessing the Internet, but we do not use your IP address in a manner linked to your personally identifiable information.

Cookies and online tracking

A cookie is a small file placed on your computer that stores information. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better Site. We may use cookies to maintain your session. These cookies don’t collect personally identifiable information. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. You understand and agree that technical processing of your information is and may be required (a) to send and receive messages regarding your use of Pinmenote; (b) to conform to the technical requirements of connecting networks; (c) to conform to the limitations of Pinmenote; and (d) to conform to other, similar technical requirements.

Updates

For example, we may update this policy in order to describe how new Web features may affect our use of your information and to let you know of new controls and features that we may provide you. We will not apply changes to this policy retroactively to information we have previously collected.
